What Should I Expect After Account Deletion, and How Can I Resolve Role-Related Issues?

When you request an account deletion to the Legends of Learning team, you might wonder how the system handles subsequent actions, such as logging in or managing your user role. This article outlines the key system behaviors you may encounter and provides step-by-step resolutions for common role-related issues.

What Happens If I Try to Log in After Requesting to Delete my Account?

Once an account has been deleted, attempting to log in with the same username and password will yield one of the following responses:

  1. You will receive a "user not found" message.

  2. You will be prompted to create a new account.

This behavior ensures that previously deleted accounts cannot be reactivated without explicit new sign-ups. If you wish to create a new account, follow the prompts provided by the system.

How to Resolve Role-Related Errors Post-Deletion

If the Support team has confirmed that they deleted the specific account requested (e.g., a teacher account). Still, the system incorrectly retains your role or displays outdated information. Here’s a simple resolution:

  1. Log out of the current session.

  2. Sign back in to refresh your account status.

  3. If switching roles—for example, registering as a Student—proceed to the appropriate sign-up page and follow the instructions to create the new account.

This process ensures any lingering data from previously deleted accounts is cleared and allows you to establish the desired account configuration correctly.
