For questions regarding running Learning Universe assignments on iPads, please note the following regarding compatibility:
Students will need to access the teacher assignments through Chrome (preferred) or Safari.
The majority of our games are compatible on iPad 6th Gen (Released in 2018) or newer.
iPads older than iPad 6th Gen will likely show poor performance when running iPad compatible games.
For best performance, iPads should be running iOS version 15.3.1 or newer.
WebGL 2.0 Should be turned off on the iPad. Most iPads will have WebGL 2.0 on by default and this will likely hinder game performance. How to turn WebGL 2.0 off:
Settings -> Safari -> Advanced -> Experimental Features -> Scroll down and turn off "WebGL 2.0"
Games that are not compatible with iPads will be missing the iPad icon on the Game Details screen.
To find games that are iPad compatible, search for content by keyword, topic, or standard and then select the Game Features filter to only see iPad compatible games. You can also simply type the keyword "iPad" into the search bar.
If you are attempting to run science games on an iPad 6th Gen or newer with an updated iOS version and Web GL 2.0 turned off, and are still experiencing loading issues, please try the following on student devices:
Close out all additional tabs on the web browser
Completely close all background apps running on the iPad
Clear the cookies/cache on the web browser
Update the web browser
After following the above steps, if the games continue to not load for students, please feel free to chat with us or email email@example.com.
Math Basecamp is now compatible on iPads via the Legends of Learning: Awakening app. To access Math Basecamp on iPads, students must have the app downloaded onto their device from the iOS App Store. For more details on how students access via the app, click here.
