Awakening Grade Levels
When students first enter Awakening they select their grade level. The grade level sets the progression of standards they work through in Awakening when no teacher content is assigned to them. Students are locked to their selected grade level.
To change a student's selected Awakening grade level, click on the My Students tab on your left navigation menu.
Then, click the Pencil Icon in the Actions column.
Select the new grade level in the drop down menu.
Then, click Save Changes.
To bulk assign grade levels, click the check boxes next to student names. Then, click the three black dots next to Last Name and select Set Grade Level.
NOTE: To select all students, click the check box next to last name. This table can also be filtered by specific groups to quickly select all students within a class or group to assign grade levels to.
In the popup, choose the desired grade level and then click Set Grade Level.Ensure that the updates apply across the platform and confirm changes by revisiting the student list.
District Assignment Grade Levels
NOTE: District assignments are only available to partners with a district-level license.
If your administrator has published pre-created district assignments to your students, those assignments will default to all students in your account. You can edit these assignments so they only appear to specific groups, or you can utilize this student grade level selection to filter those assignments for your students.
To change a student's selected math or science grade level, click on the My Students tab on your left navigation menu. If district assignments are published to your students, you will see new columns for Science and Math grade levels for your students.
Click the pencil icon in the Actions column to make changes to an individual student's grade levels.
Select the new grade level in the drop down menu for either Science or Math. Then, click Save Changes.
To bulk assign grade levels, click the check boxes next to student names. Then, click the three black dots next to Last Name and select Set Grade Level.
In the popup, choose the desired subject and grade level, then click Set Grade Level.
NOTE: The grade levels available in these menus are determined by your selected grade levels and standards in your teacher account settings. Those settings also determine which district assignments are published to your teacher account, so be sure to only select the grade levels you are currently teaching.
