What Permissions Does a Co-Teacher Have?

What is a Co-teacher?

  • A teacher that has been invited to see all of the students, groups, and assignments in a primary teacher's Legends of Learning account.

  • Co-teachers have their own Legends of Learning account with the primary teacher's students, groups, and assignments visible.

  • Co-teachers can also have their own students, groups, and assignments if desired (for which they will be the primary teacher).

What permissions does a Co-teacher have?

  • View all of the primary teacher's students and groups.

  • Ability to edit the primary teacher's students and groups, including student names, usernames, and passwords.

  • Ability to add new students to the primary teacher's groups.

  • View all of the primary teacher's assignments.

  • Ability to edit the primary teacher's live assignments, including start and and dates and assigned groups.

  • View student progress and performance for any of the primary teacher's live and completed assignments.

  • Ability to assign work to the primary teacher's students from their own Legends of Learning account.

What limitations are set for Co-teachers?

  • Co-teachers cannot delete students from a primary teacher's account.

  • Co-teachers cannot delete entire groups from a primary teacher's account. They can, however, change group assignments for individual students.

  • Co-teachers cannot delete assignments from a primary teacher's account.

  • Co-teachers cannot edit the content of assignments owned by the primary teacher. If drafts are edited, the changes will reflect only in the Co-teacher's account.

  • Primary teachers cannot see the students, assignments, and groups from the Co-teacher's account UNLESS the Co-teacher has also sent the primary teacher a Co-teacher invite.
