Students can keep track of their progress through topics while playing Awakening. To get started they will select the cap icon.
On the page that displays, students can see a clear overview of what they are currently working on, what they have already accomplished, and what they will be covering in the future.
If students have been assigned a specific focus area by their teacher, the purple bar will indicate Teacher Focus Area. Otherwise, their progression of topics is determined based on the student's chosen grade level and the subject within their Awakening Settings.
Their student avatar will appear above the topic that they are currently working on. As students progress toward mastering the topic, the topic will start filling up blue.
When a topic is fully mastered, a check mark will be placed on the topic.
NOTE:
Students must master all assigned Focus Areas before they can go through the standard Awakening unit progressions.
The progress page will display each assigned focus area sequentially. The next focus area will be shown after students have fully mastered the previous one. The assigned focus areas will appear in the order in which they were assigned.
If a student is struggling with a unit, they will be offered the chance to go to an easier topic. Students will be taken to pre-requisite units intended to build background knowledge. Once the pre-requisite units are mastered, students can try again with their original unit!
When students successfully finish a topic, they will notice a red plus sign on their cap icon.
Once students click on the cap, students are celebrated and receive a certificate of mastery. Additionally, if their account is linked to a parent account, the certificate will be sent via email to the parent informing them that the student has completed a unit within Awakening!
If students do not have a parent account linked, they will see the option to send their parents their certificate by selecting 'Show Parent'.
They will then see the option to enter in their parent's email address.
Students can select 'Ok' to view the topic they just completed and the next topic they will be starting.
