Awakening Fluency Mode provides short, engaging math fact practice activities that help students build speed, accuracy, and confidence. Students progress at their own pace as they master addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts—all while earning Knowledge Points (KP) in Awakening!
How to Enable Fluency Mode
Getting started is easy! From your Teacher Home page, click Fluency.
Turn the Fluency toggle on. Click Enable Fluency to activate the feature for your students.
That's it! Your students will now have the option to enter Fluency Mode when they sign in to Awakening.
How Fluency Mode Works for Students
When students sign in to Awakening, they'll see an option to enter Fluency Mode.
While playing in Fluency Mode, students will complete short rounds of six math facts whenever they're prompted to answer questions in Awakening. This includes activities such as restoring their avatar's energy or competing in Beastie Battles!
Here's what students can expect:
Start with the basics: Students begin by practicing addition and subtraction facts.
Progress at their own pace: Once students master addition and subtraction facts, they'll advance to multiplication and division.
Earn Knowledge Points (KP): Students earn more KP by answering more facts correctly. The faster they answer, the more KP they can earn!
Build math confidence: Short, engaging practice rounds help students improve their speed and accuracy as they play.
Tracking Math Fact Mastery
Students can monitor their math fact mastery progress directly in Awakening!
To check their progress, students simply click the Number Blocks icon in their Awakening toolbar.
Here, students can view their progress as they work toward mastering their math facts and advancing to new skills.
Note: Math fact mastery progress is only visible to students and is not available in teacher reports. Detailed fact mastery reports come with a Math Basecamp school license.
With Awakening Fluency Mode, students can strengthen essential math skills, build confidence, and earn rewards—all while enjoying the Awakening experience!
