If you have an assignment saved as a draft, you can open it from the Unfinished Drafts section of the homepage or My Assignments tab.

Once you create an assignment, the next step is to assign it to your students.

First, give your assignment a name. Note that students will be able to see the name when they access the assignment.

Then, select the dates you would like the assignment to be live for by clicking into the State Date and End Date boxes.

NOTE: If you select today as the start date, the assignment will open immediately upon assigning it to students.

Next, choose which students you would like to have access to this assignment. If you'd like to assign the assignment to all students, just leave All Students in the dropdown.

If you'd like to assign the assignment to specific groups, choose one or more groups from the dropdown.

All students in all selected group(s) will be assigned the assignment.

Finally, click Publish Now.

If you would like to save your progress and finish working on the assignment later, click the X button to return home. Your work is automatically saved!

You will be able to continue working on the draft at another time.

After clicking Assign, you can also choose how you would like for students to access your assignment. You can also push the assignment directly to Google Classroom using the Google Classroom button.

Once your assignment is assigned and open for students to complete, students will need to join your assignment.

If you need reminders on how students can access your assignment once it is live, click the Student Instructions on the assignment data page.

NOTE: Classlink, Schoology, Canvas, GG4L, and Clever integrations are only available with our school and/or district-level licenses.
