Awakening is a game-based learning world filled with fun math and science experiences. The interactive, educational world provides practice, rewards, and achievements for learners. What Activities Can Students Complete in Awakening?

Beastie Battles

While exploring Awakening, students will have the opportunity to participate in beastie battles. During beastie battles, students are provided math or science content-related questions in order to defeat an opponent's beasties. Students are rewarded for answering questions correctly and winning battles. Rewards include coins to purchase avatar gear, Loot Boxes, Knowledge Points, and beastie eggs!

Beastly Pizza

Beastly Pizza is available at one of the two Pizza Trucks parked in Awakening -- outside the Awakening School or Southeast of the Town Square.

Beastly Pizza is one of two thrilling cooperative learning games available in Awakening! This exciting game requires teamwork and quick thinking from students to gather ingredients and make the most delicious pizza for their beasties. As students collect ingredients, they must answer content-related math or science questions.

The more rounds students complete, the more coins and Knowledge Points they receive.

Quizzler Game Show

Near the School Entrance or Town Square, students can test their knowledge and luck by participating in the exciting Quizzler Game Show!

In the Quizzler Game Show, students can play alone or with other student players. The students must answer Questions and Luck Rounds correctly in the game show to win coins. The questions students encounter in the game show correlate with the grade level and the subject selected in their Awakening account settings.

Students should look for the bullseye to enter the game!

Math and Science Mini Games

Students can find math and science mini games scattered throughout the world of Awakening. These games reinforce the content they are working on in Awakening. Mini games are a great way for students to brush up on their understanding before heading into a beastie battle or completing a competition like Beastly Pizza or Quizzler!

In the Awakening Town, students can head to the Arcade to play from a selection of games.

In the Awakening School, students can enter the math or science classroom and find the Game Station to play from a selection of games.

Throughout the Awakening Town and School, students can also find engaging and educational mini-games featuring some of their favorite Awakening characters! Students should walk up to various character to see what exciting games are waiting for them!

Other Educational Quests

Learning and fun can be found around every corner in Awakening! In addition to the experiences mentioned above, students can find the following activities:

  • Star Scavenger Hunt - In the Schoolyard, students are challenged to apply their critical thinking skills in order to find the shortest path to collect stars and answer content-related questions. The faster the students complete the challenge, the more coins they earn!

  • Math Cards - Located in the Math Classroom within the School, the Math Cards Station allows students to play a card game covering mathematical operations while testing their speed!

  • Physics Toybox - Located in the Science Classroom within the School, the Physics Toybox allows students to explore using an interactive simulation to learn about physical properties and forces. Students will experiment by manipulating various forces and motions, and will learn and iterate from past failures - an important 21st century skill!

  • Elemental Soccer - In the Schoolyard, students interact with a life-size periodic table scavenger hunt where they learn about elements and their uses and composition.

  • Interactive Multiplication Table - In the Schoolyard, students will find an interactive multiplication table that provides them with a visualization of their multiplication facts.

  • Beastie Training and Evolution - Throughout the Awakening School and Town, students can find Beastie Trainers to help level up their squad! Training and evolving beasties allows their squad to perform better in beastie battles. Students need to engage in a variety of educational activities in Awakening in order to earn enough coins to train and evolve their beasties.


Accessing the Awakening Town

Students will enter the Awakening School between the hours of 7 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Friday local time.

Students can enter the Town by taking a ride on the gondola from the Schoolyard after 3 PM local time Monday through Friday and on the weekends.

Teachers can unlock access to the Town at any time from their Teacher Account settings.
